Dr. Basalik an invited speaker for the PHMC’s Annual Workshops in Archaeology

Dr. Basalik was an invited speaker for the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission’s Annual Workshops in Archaeology, held on November 14, 2015 at the Pennsylvania State Museum in Harrisburg. The workshop’s theme was Weed Seeds to Garden Seeds: The Archaeology of Farming in the Keystone State. Dr. Basalik’s paper “Historical Archaeology and Plants in Pennsylvania” provided an overview of changes in the botanical and faunal remains from the colonial period to the early twentieth century. CHRS was also a co-sponsor of the event.
