Dr. Basalik was an invited speaker at the 2nd Annual Pennsylvania Archaeological Forum fall symposium, in Harrisburg, on November 8, 2019. His presentation was titled: “Twentieth Century-Archaeological Sites, the Good, the not so Good, but not the Ugly.” The paper stressed the importance of examining twentieth-century archaeological sites, and the elements of a site that should be present for such sites to be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
